The Terra Cotta Warriors nearby Xian in China represent the work of over 700000 people for 40 years. All made so that the first Emperor of China would have an army in the afterlife- both to protect him, and to allow him to rule the universe. Today they are called the eighth wonder of the world- built before the time of Julius Cesar, there would be little doubt that had this would have been named in the original seven wonders.
